After years of working at a desk as a CPA left her with chronic back pain, Sharon Carlisle sought relief by practicing Pilates. Her first lesson was in 2004 and she immediately loved how it made her feel overall, as well as how it alleviated her back pain. Sharon practiced Pilates consistently through both of her pregnancies and experienced firsthand how it is beneficial for EVERY body. Her passion for the Pilates method led her to pursue teaching so that she could share its unique results and benefits with others. In August 2011, Sharon graduated from the Advanced Teacher Training program at The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO.
Sharon has worked with clients across the full spectrum of mobility and health, from the young professional dancer to the seventy year old with disc degeneration, and many other wonderful, unique bodies in between. She remains forever curious about healthy movement and has continued her education by traveling to workshops given by second generation teachers as well as taking classes from other excellent teachers nearby and online. Sharon moved to Oregon in the summer of 2015 with her husband and two children. She spends her free time walking, listening to podcasts and reading.
