Pilates Teacher | Integrative Health Educator
Heidi founded Portland Pilates Collective + Wellness center in 2006 with the vision of making Pilates accessible to all, and welcoming to a wider demographic.
Heidi believes in the ability of Pilates to change lives, and her teaching emphasizes the holistic and transformative benefits of Pilates, approaching the method as a healing modality. She strives in her teaching to help people feel their full potential, because this is where she believes that healing begins.
She has held a comprehensive certification with Peak Pilates since 2006.
Undergraduate study of Chinese medical theory and Heidi’s interest in nutrition as the basis of health inspired Heidi to certify as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) in 2006. She went on to pursue a Master’s of Public Health at Portland State University in Health Education, focusing on Integrative Health Education. Heidi now combines her love of movement and food with this broad knowledge base in integrative health education to help clients live and eat better. She has seen therapeutic movement and targeted, whole-food nutrition heal many ailments.
Heidi is a second degree Reiki healer, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese from Reed College.In her spare time, she enjoys dancing Argentine tango, adventuring to inspiring natural places, and travel.
